The ARC recently updated the following policies:
- Humane Treatment and Endpoints
Minor changes were made to the bulleted list of conditions under “Required Endpoints.” These changes will also be updated in RATS procedure templates.
- Acquisition, Tracking and Reporting Animal Numbers
The policy “Tracking and Reporting Animal Numbers” was renamed to reflect the inclusion of content regarding arrangements for acquisition and housing of animals. Other changes are largely cosmetic and done to better clarify and format information.
- Assigning Correction Deadlines
Changes include reclassification of some examples of deficiencies from the “action required day of” category to “action required within 24 hours” of notification.
