UCLA’s Animal Care & Use Program is accredited by AAALAC International, a private non-profit organization that promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through voluntary program assessments and subsequent accreditation. The next program assessment will take place in Fall 2026.
UCLA is registered with the USDA and holds an Animal Welfare Assurance with the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare.
